VTTA National Competitions

VTTA Best All Rounder
The Best All Rounder Competition (BAR) is a season long competition in which riders complete events at 25 miles, 50 miles, 100 miles and 12 hours. Riders compare their actual performance against standard performance measured in miles per hour. The best performances at each distance are totalled and then averaged. The Champion is the rider with the highest average actual speed over standard speed.
Three Distance Competition
The three distance competition runs throughout each season and competitors must complete rides at 25 miles, 50 miles and 100 miles. After each event a rider will compare his/her actual performance against "Standard" and summate their best Actual minus Standard times for each of the distances.  The rider with the highest total of Actual minus Standard will be the Champion for that year.
National Points Series
The National Points Series was established so that younger veterans could compete for a National Competition on level terms, however despite several modifications to the regulations the competition has failed to attract sufficient qualifiers to justify its continuation. The National Points Series has been abandoned for 2007 and the National Committee will attempt to devise a more attractive competition for 2008.
